In some circumstances, it can currently take up to 4.5 months to conduct an initial assessment for some complaints, particularly if they are complex. We are doing everything we can to reduce this time. You can find average timescales for each stage of complaint handling across all types of complaints here.

The Commissioner's British Sign Language Plan

This Plan sets out the actions which the Commissioner proposes to take over the period 2018-2024 to improve access for BSL users to the range of statutory functions that he fulfils. The Plan is available to download from this website in Word and pdf formats and a BSL translation of the Plan is available on this page as well as on YouTube and Facebook.
